BIO
P-Funk North is a musical cocktail with a reggae rock core.
PFN, which means North Plainfield, is in reference to our hometown in NJ.
​
We've been fortunate enough to share the stage with Afroman, Dashboard Confessional, The Wailers, The Offspring, Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, Sublime with Rome, Pepper, Stephen Marley, Badfish, Little Stranger, Ballyhoo!, Bumpin Uglies, Tropidelic, Common Kings, The Skatalites, The Expendables, Eve 6, Fishbone, Yellowman, Tunnel Vision, Shwayze, and Obie Trice, to name a few.

We have also played on a number of festivals alongside 311, Sublime, Cage The Elephant, Blink-182, and more.

Our single "Laughing Gas" can be heard on New Jersey's 95.9 The WRAT with accompanying music video directed by Kyle Edwards.

"All My Heroes Are Potheads" was written on the back of a Dixie Cup for the podcast "Comics on Cannabis" with Ed Cho.
​
Our 2019 album "Don't Even Ask" features performances from Mighty Mystic, LDonTheCut of Sublime with Rome, and James Evan from "Buds Won't Break Your Heart". It was recorded and produced in-house and mastered by David Irish (Reel Big Fish, Tunnel Vision, Kash'd Out).
